Katherine Wardlaw

Katherine Wardlaw is an attorney in the South Pasadena office focusing on civil rights and employment litigation. She joined the firm in April 2026.

At UCLA School of Law, Katie specialized in the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy. She co-authored “The Biden Administration’s Dedicated Docket: Inside Los Angeles’ Accelerated Court Hearings for Families Seeking Asylum” in the Immigrants’ Rights Policy Clinic, part of the Center for Immigration Law and Policy. She also served as a Managing Editor for UCLA Law Review and a 2L Writing Advisor for the 1L Legal Writing Course.

Katie served as a judicial extern to Chief Judge Philip S. Gutierrez in the United States District Court for the Central District of California after her first year at UCLA and as a legal intern at Loyola Law School’s Project for the Innocent after her second year.

After graduating from UCLA, Katie completed two judicial clerkships in the United States District Court for the Central District of California—first with the Honorable Christina A. Snyder and then with the Honorable Dale S. Fischer.

Katie received her bachelor’s degree from Williams College where she won a NCAA Division III National Championship as a member of the Women’s Varsity Soccer team. Before law school, Katie worked for a highly regarded criminal defense and civil rights firm.
